[Quoting my own post above} João was able to track down the cause of my post-install crashes; the next beta will have a fix. Was able to test with a bunch of effects and instruments (even really old stuff like NI Spektral Delay), and I'm happy with the results so far. |

But all has been fine since, so I really think it was just the installer that set things off. If I see any more kernel panics, I'll get rid of it, but it looks like pretty smooth sailing so far.

| Yeah, João confirmed that it was only the installer, not the app itself. |

| I still get CPU spikes with JBridger. While it's a little better, I can't use it with any serious projects. I have to stick with 32bit for some of my plugins. |

| I'm getting real good stability in S! 2.0.5 with jbridge 1.5--and boxes 1,2,6,7, 10 and 11 checked off in jbridge settings. Where there is still a problem, I also check box 9 (separate GUI), which helps those problem plugs a lot. |

| So, I went ahead and purchased JBridge Mac, and I've been testing 32-bit plugins. Most of them will eventually go 64-bit (or have already, and I just haven't bought the upgrade -- like Altiverb @ $215). Here's what I've tried: Instruments: AAS Lounge Lizard & Tassman Miroslav Philharmonik Korg MonoPoly NI B4 II Vember Audio Surge Lennar Sylenth1 GForce MTron Pro & String Machine GSi VB3 & MrRay73 Mk2 QuikQuak Bar Chimes Sonic Charge MicroTonic (including sync to host) iZotope iDrum (including sync to host) Effects: Altiverb 6 IK CSR Antares Harmony Engine ArtsAcoustic Reverb PSP sQuad PSP MasterQ PSP Vintage Warmer 2 PSP Nitro URS Saturation 112dB Redline Reverb Sonimus SonEQ GSi Type 4 Spring Reverb & WatKat Tape Delay Intelligent Devices Marshall Time Modulator NI Spektral Delay I've just given these a quick test, twiddled some knobs, etc., but they've all worked perfectly -- pretty impressive considering JBridgeM is onlty at 0.6 beta. What has NOT worked are any of the plugins from Stillwell and Schwa. The problem is that the license files aren't recognized, whether they're in the usual VST folder or in the 'PluginsBridgedFor64BitVSTHosts' folder that JBridge creates. So they come up as 'unregistered'. Don't see any way around that.. Scott from Stillwell is working on 64-bit versions of his plugs, but Schwa, whoever he is, is such a nonentity, rarely if ever appearing in public, that I doubt his plugs will ever go to 64. So it's probably goodbye to my beloved TinMan, the only 'Intelligent Resonant Filter' I know of.. but I digress.. Very happy with JBridge Mac!

| Fixed the Stillwell/Schwa license problem I mentioned in the previous post (with help from Scott @Stillwell). I had moved all my VST plugins to be bridged into a special folder within the VST folder. Had to copy the license files into that folder as well. User error, it's all good, and all my Stillwell/Schwa plugs are working fine bridged. |

| Ola people, Thinking of taking the plunge and buying JBridge. Cause i really want to use S1 in 64 bit (more memory for it). I have a bunch of UAD plugins that are still 32 bit. Anyone uses JBridge in S1 with UAD plugins succesfully ? Very hope so . If so, i grab my creditcard right away :0) Gr, Robbie.

| I have AudioMasterGet time hack on Prevent main host control whne GUI window is closed on Use legacy integration mode V1.2 on But, these may not be right for your system. In fact they may not be right for my system. I think I did a trial and error test when I was back on Sonar X1 It is best to start with them all off and see if you have issues then try each on based on your systems performance. There are also buffer and timing setting in the UAD driver as well under Configuration Mine is set to Extra buffering, Enable CPU optimization and Sonar compatibility mode on.

So far so good. Pulled the trigger and bought it. I only had a few 32bit plugs - Autotune EFX (which I use less and less in favor of Melodyne, but I have a ton of old songs with it), Sampletank XL (must have and I don't think we'll see a 64bit version anytime soon) Korg WAVESTATION (must have) iDrum (use less and less) PODFarm M30 Reverb All open and run with no problems. I did see a spike in CPU, but I threw all of them on the same track (just to see if they would open). Not a bad purchase, even if I only use it for a few months. Terry
Not sure which version of PodFarm you're using but 2.5 is now 64 bit compatible. |
